“I am a 16-year-old student, and I began working with Brian after experiencing a failed microdiscectomy at just 15 years old. In February, following the unsuccessful surgery, I started Brian’s program. Sport is my life, so having to stop playing while I healed was a huge blow. However, I knew this was the only way to get back on the field.
To begin with, I only had three exercises to focus on, but under Brian’s expert guidance, I slowly built my strength back up. I saw him weekly and made sure to do every exercise he prescribed. Some of them were tough at first, but Brian worked closely with me, ensuring each exercise was tailored to the specific needs of my injury. He took the time to explain the importance of each movement, so I always understood how it contributed to my recovery.
Beyond just exercises, Brian also taught me about the small things in life that can make a big difference—how I sit, the mattress I sleep on, my posture, and how my body behaves in different situations. His deep knowledge of the human body and its performance under stress and sport is remarkable. I placed 100% of my trust in him and he delivered results beyond my expectations.
The work Brian gave me was challenging, but it required dedication, and if you’re committed to your healing, you will see progress. By June, just a few months after starting with Brian, I was back playing my first soccer match. By July, I completed a full basketball season.
I’ve learned to listen to my body, recognise when I need to reset, and most importantly, I now know that the exercises Brian gave me will keep my spine healthy for life.”
